Daytime TV has been taken over by the impeachment hearings and while members of the GOP would lead you to believe it’s boring to watch, Saturday Night Live has another take. The late-night show compares it to a Soap Opera. During the opening of the skit, these words flashed on the screen:

“This week, 13 million Americans tuned in to watch the impeachment hearings, as multiple officials testified against President Trump. But some complained the hearings were ‘lacking in pizzazz,’ ‘dull,’ and ‘not The Masked Singer.’ So to make sure people are paying attention, we now present the hearings in a way that underscores how scandalous these revelations really are.”

Hijinks ensued from there. NBC writes:

(Rep. Jim) Jordan, a Trump defender, says, “If the president wanted to intimidate you, he’d shoot you in the face in the middle of Fifth Avenue.”

The GOP congressman is then asked, if that happened, would he favor impeachment?

“I’d have to look at the facts,” he says, “but no.”
