The Washington Post contacted all 249 Republican members of the House and Senate to see if they would acknowledge Joe Biden’s resounding win in the electoral college and popular vote. The Post writes:

Two Republicans consider Trump the winner despite all evidence showing otherwise. And another 222 GOP members of the House and Senate — nearly 90 percent of all Republicans serving in Congress — will simply not say who won the election.

The Post adds the survey shows the fear that most Republicans have of Donald Trump, and his control of the party.

More than 70 percent of Republican lawmakers did not acknowledge The Post’s questions as of Friday evening.

A couple of other notes from the Post survey: Only 11 of 52 Senate Republicans acknowledge Biden’s win. In the House, only 14 Republicans say Biden won, and of those 14, six are retiring from politics and two others represent districts Biden won.

On Friday, California certified Biden’s win and with it, gave the President-elect 270 electoral votes. On December 14, the Electoral College will meet to certify Biden’s win.
