Right-wing media, led by Fox “News,” has spent the day trying to spread the lie that Major League Baseball’s decision to move the All-Star Game from Atlanta to Denver doesn’t really accomplish much because, they claim, the states have similar voting laws.

It’s not true, of course, but it did come up at the White House briefing when the White House Press Secretary, Jen Psaki, was asked about it by a reporter from Fox.

Psaki began to list the difference but then said:

“The Georgia legislation is built on a lie. There was no widespread fraud … Instead, what we’re seeing here is for politicians who didn’t like the outcome, they’re not changing their policies to win more votes, they’re changing the rules to exclude more voters.”
